But really dissapointed that you take Nyss in a Trollblood list , I wish you guys would stay within faction , just seems wrong , bad example , bad press for trollbloods.

It pretty rare for Trevor to take non-faction models with Trolls. He usually feels like Trolls have better options in faction. However, Nyss with Gunnbjorn are somewhat of a special consideration.

Nyss are amazingly good with Gunnbjorn and one of the best units you can take with him. If I decided to take Gunnbjorn to a tournament you can guarantee the Nyss would be in his list. Trollbloods have more minion options than any other Hordes faction why would you leave them out of lists if they are a good addition? Saxon Orrick, Rorsch & Brine, and the Totem Hunter just to name a few are excellent toolbox models, and if you need a tool you best have it in your bag.

The Nyss are better than bushwackers or sluggers with snipe on them. Simply an amazing unit.

As one of your many Canadian fans, I would just like to say that not all the stereotypes are true, eh?

I would like to thank you guys for running a game with Gunnbjorn. It’s refreshing to hear the opinions of people who aren’t drinking quite so much troll coolaid.

That being said, I don’t really know if he deserves the F rank. His feat is garbage, but really, I think his spell list is better than the other F casters (well, Zerkova and Harkevich, anyway). I think that you hit it on the head when you said that he’d be a c-/D caster in pretty much any other faction (Guided Fire Seraph?).

Also, I’m surprised that everyone was talking about how Gunnbjorn’s rock wall removes the need for Janessa. In those few games I’ve taken him, the double rock wall has been golden. I won a game against Bloody Barnabas because my opponent was flummoxed on how to attack when I placed one wall in front of the other in such a way that prevented his possee from ending their charge within 3 inches of my firebase. I haven’t played it against legion yet, but the idea of terrain actually inconveniencing Legion heavies is attractive.

Unfortunately we have to look upon the casters in a SR2012 light, and taking Janissa with Gunnbjorn means you won’t be taking her with someone else.

Additionally I do not mind Gunnbjorns spell list as much as I don’t like it in trolls. It just doesn’t do much for us. Taken within context is why he gets an F.

Speaking of guided fire seraph… how about a guided fire Ravagore in that same battle group? Ya it would be way better elsewhere.
